For variety, try pepperoni for the meat. My mother made them that way every year for Christmas Eve. I suppose you could use pizza sauce for a dip but, to my way of thinking, the pepperoni makes the rolls plenty rich and moist enough.

Served these for a casual get together for hubby and his friends. Memories for me of times with my mom! Some never had these and enjoyed them very much! Will make again soon!

This is a good recipe for a quick appetizer for a crowd. It does the trick. However, if you looking for something a little sophisticated I would try a different recipe.

Love this fun twist on the classic my mother used to make for my brother and me. I add a thin strip of American cheese before rolling up to make is more reminiscent of the one my mother used to make. Yummy! I ate nearly a dozen by myself before I realized it!!

Used bisquits instead of rolls, but it was just as pleasing to my son and his basketball buddies.
