we have a cocktail party at our condo complex every week & I saw this recipe & decided to try it---there was one tiny piece left when I came home--it was a big hit.I'll make it again w/maybe a different cheese or deli meat--or even sauce.You're only limited by your imagination & if you feel the need to add rib eye to make it "authentic" then of course you may.

Philly cheese steaks, pizza or other wise is not made with roast beef, it is made with sliced rib eye steak. roast beef is for roast beef sandwiches.

I used mozzarella instead of provolone, and stir-fried the peppers with the onions. Softened the up a bit. Very good looking and tasting dish.

The Alfredo Sauces Misti8307 suggests sounds good to me. More in keeping with the character of the Philly Cheese Steak Pizza. Or, maybe a Parmesan cheese sauce.

Love this pizza but its better with alfredo sauce or a nice garlic paste mxed with olive oil and butter.
