I make apple pies often. I prefer the Jonathan Gold apples to other types. I mix Apple Pie Spice with the sugar and I also make my own crusts from scratch. Make a batch of crust at one time, enough for two double crust pies and 1 single crust or 5 single crust pies. When my batch of mixed crust is made, I make five balls each weighing around 10-12oz each, flatten them one at a time and wrap each one in Foil or saran wrap place in freezer until I need one to make a pie. I flatten them so it doesn't take too long to thaw on the counter. The crust recipe was given to me by my sister-in-law aroun

This is not a review but a question for Pillsbury Inc. Will you ever be making a frozen pie crust for ten inch pies? The current ones really need to be stretched to make it into a ten inch pie pan and you are left with little crust to fold over the edge. I ask this because we have a big family and 10 inch crusts would work better for us. .

I have many fruit trees on my farm. As a result I make many pies during each fruit season and put them in the freezer unbaked. I use Pillsbury Pie Crust to make this a faster job. When the occasion arises, I take a pie out of the freezer and bake it. The crust tastes wonderful and I get raves about my pies. I can always count on your pie crusts.

I know everyone says not to use MacIntosh apples but my Mother always did and we love it. It is like applesauce but delicious. She didn't have a recipe but this had all the same ingredients she used. Tried it and it was very good. I used 8 good sized apples. I might try a little more cinnamon next time. One comment was, it was the best apple pie in her life! I did make my own crust.

I made two of these apple pies for Thanksgiving and they were a HUGE hit! Everyone wanted to take some home. It was requested that I make them again at Christmas, and I will definitly make more than two pies this time! I used my pampered chef apple peeler/corer/slicer and these were ready to go in the oven in minutes! LOVE THIS RECIPE!!
