Peppermint Brownie Bars

What is better than chocolate and peppermint? Not many things. Blogger Bree Hester of bakedbree.com shares a recipe for Peppermint Brownie Bars that are not only heavenly—and so very easy to make. During the busy holiday season, it is nice to have a few great recipes like this one in your back pocket—recipes with fewer than five ingredients and which take no time at all to put together. roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated peppermint sugar cookies

box (18.3 oz) milk chocolate brownie mix
Water
Vegetable oil
Eggs

tablespoons powdered sugar, if desired
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Cut cookie dough in half crosswise; cut each section in half lengthwise. Press dough in bottom of pan.
  • 2 Make brownie batter as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan, using water, vegetable oil and eggs; spread batter over cookie dough.
  • 3 Bake as directed on brownie box; cool. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows; dust with powdered sugar before serving.
