Treat your family with these bars that are made with nuts and cream cheese – a delicious dessert.

box yellow cake mix

cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, melted

package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

bag (1 lb) powdered sugar

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease 13x9- inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • 2 In large bowl, stir cake mix, pecans, butter and 1 of the eggs with spoon until well blended. Press mixture in bottom of pan.
  • 3 In medium bowl, beat remaining 2 eggs, the cream cheese and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Pour over cake mix base.
  • 4 Bake 40 minutes or until set. Cool completely on cooling rack. Cut into 5 rows by 3 rows.
