They were easy to make and mine didn't go flat but I had a hard time telling when they were done. I also had trouble making the ridges so they looked a little funny. Anyone have any tips on making the ridges?

These are really cute -- I would agree with the previous poster -- don't add the pretzels until you take them out of the oven (I pushed in the pretzels after taking the cookies out during the '2 minute' cool down period before moving them to the cooling rack.
I was unable to find the refrigerated PB dough in my store (odd because I do remember seeing the Holiday refrigerated dough before) and I use the dry mix from the baking aisle from Pillsbury instead ... skipped the egg, followed the directions on the pouch but added some flour until the dough was drier so it would stand up better.

Worked okay. Added a bit more flour (made at 5,000 ft elevation). Made more of a potato/oval shape rather than ball. Stood on baking sheet so that it was taller than wide to help with the spreading issues others had. Added pretzel stem after baking to prevent burning. Also made flat cookies with the sprinkles and added stem with mini choco chip eyes and mouth after baking

I've been reading all the reviews prior to making this myself. I had an idea to share... roll the dough into a ball and place in a mini muffin pan w/ or w/o the paper. This may help it keep its shape. I'm going to try it out and let everyone know if it worked or not.

I was very dissapointed I had made them before and where great but this time I made then twice and they are flat, not like before, nice little round pumpkins Have you changed the peanut butter cookie formula?

I made these from memory last year but didn't think to add the flour or egg yolk. I hope that will help them stay rounder this year as I plan to try them again because the taste is something I can still remember and want again. I wonder if raising or lowering the temp will help them stay round and cute like this?

These looked really nice on my Thanksgiving cookie tray. Very easy to make. They flattened more than I expected, but still cute.

These were very easy to make and a big hit with both kids and adults! The only problem I had was with making the ridges. They puffed out half way through baking, so I had to take them out of the oven and go over the ridges again. I will definitely make them again!

I give this recipe a full 5 stars for the idea. I dislike peanut butter cookies and didn't have a tube of sugar cookie dough so I made some from scratch. The cookies will slide around as you are putting ridges in them and if you touch them, they lose their shape. I use two toothpicks, one on either side, to keep them in place and get the job done faster. I just roll them toward each other then move to another section and do the same until they are done. I baked them for the least amount of time possible. They will flatten some, as cookies do, but they still maintain a ball-like shape.
