I have made this or a variation of this for over 20 years. It always makes a great presentation and everyone loves it. If you use sliced bananas, it definitely has to be covered with the melted jelly and eaten that day. I've made wheels, stars, stripes, etc. and it always looks like I really worked hard and I didn't!

I made the Patriotic Cookie Pizza for the 4th and everyone really enjoyed it. I used a box mix of Pillsbury Traditional Sugar premium cookie mix that I had instead of the refrig cookie roll. It turned out great. I also took the hint of another review and added honey to glaze it instead of the apple jelly. Very good all around!!

I usually melt some chocolate chips and spread them on the cookie..so the cream chese does not make the cookie soggy. I also do not put any jelly on it. I bake it in a springform pan so it is a perfect circle. ALSO I cut it in wedges before I put on the toppings...s cutting doesn't mess up the pretty directions.

Oh, I forgot, I've never brushed the top w/ jelly or anything. I've just placed the fruit on it.

I've made this before, and its great, very easy to make. I didn't bother with a star of fruit, I used all different fruits and arranged the fruit in circles, so everybody got a little of each fruit. Kiwi is excellent on this!

Couldn't find apple jelly & since I never had it I was leery. Used honey instead. Had a lo of company so made 3 pizzas since it's pretty simple...Made one as you did. 2nd one had strawberries & blueberries. 3rd one I outlined star in strawberries and filled the star with raspberries. Whipped cream on the side if they wanted-veryone took what they liked & all enjoyed. My sister-in-law made for a work picnic but replaced the bottom layer with yogurt for her diet.

I cooked this for a potluck, its a really good idea but I don't think I will ever do it again. If I do I would recommend using strawberry's instead of raspberries. The raspberries and blueberry's were expensive, plus the raspberries were hard to work with. I wouldn't probably recommend this recipe either, I would recommend a fruit pizza instead. Cute idea though!
