It was great to have something different to try, but way too bland for our taste.

I loved this recipe! My husband is from Puerto Rico and I mad ethis for him and he loved it. I did not add the capers because I was afraid it would be to peppery for my three year old. Great Job!

I saw this recipe air on the food network channel. I was very interested because it was unique. My wife and I decided to try it and it was very good. My favorite part is the papaya and raisins with the steak. The Mojo sauce is excellent but ours came out a little on the salty side, but I blame that on the olives cause they usually have a salty taste, and I am not big on salt. Overall it was a very good recipe with an island taste to it, in my opinion it should have at least won one of the $10,000 dollar prize. I think we will keep this in our menu at home. Thanks for reading.-Carlos

I love the taste of this recipe because it really does remind me of the great food I tried when I took several tours through the eastern Caribbean and stopped in Old San Juan both times. The only fault I find is the recipe really needs to be cooked a lot longer to fully get the flavor. I think because the contestants have to prepare their recipes, I believe I read 3 times in a short amount of time (about 3 to 5 hours), that this contestant probably sped her recipe up to be able to do this. I slow cooked this for 4 hours and boy was it fully of flavor. But I give this contestant a 5 because the concept behind ther ecipe is great. Delicioso!
