Ingredients

cups uncooked instant rice

cups water

cup orange juice

tablespoons soy sauce

teaspoons cornstarch

teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips

large garlic clove, minced
1
green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1
yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/3
cup sliced green onions
1
orange, peeled, halved and sliced

Directions

  1. 1 Cook rice in water as directed on package.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, in small cup, combine orange juice, soy sauce, cornstarch and red pepper flakes; blend well. Set aside.
  3. 3 Heat oil in large skillet or wok over high heat until hot. Add beef and garlic; cook and stir until beef is browned. Add bell peppers; cook and stir until crisp-tender.
  4. 4 Stir orange juice mixture into beef mixture. Bring to a boil. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Stir in onions and orange; cook until thoroughly heated. Serve over rice.
