Orange Crème Pinwheels

Ingredients

oz cream cheese, softened
1/4
cup granulated sugar
1/2
teaspoon orange extract
Grated peel of 1 medium orange

can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1
cup powdered sugar
Juice of 1 medium orange (1 to 2 tablespoons)

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. 2 In small bowl, stir together cream cheese, granulated sugar, orange extract and orange peel. Set aside.
  3. 3 Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal. Spread half of cream cheese mixture on each rectangle. Starting at short side, roll up rectangles. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 8 slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cut sides down.
  4. 4 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pan; cool completely.
  5. 5 In small bowl, stir powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth. (If too thin, add more powdered sugar. If too thick, add more juice.) Drizzle over cooled pinwheels.
