These are soooo good...almost *too* good! ;) I love chocolate, but next time I will decrease the amt of choc chips from 2 cups to about 1.5 cups. Also, I will prob add another 1/2 roll of cookie dough so there's more of a base. Other notes (b/c I can never just make a recipe as is!): I decrease the amt of pecans to 2 cups and chopped/pulsed in a food processor for a finer texture b/c while I like the flavor I'm not crazy about big pieces of nuts. I've made a number of recipes from this site and this is by far the best yet!

This recipe is really very easy, but some things i have read in the reviews, i put into practice while making about five batches of this today, and here are my results: Dough rises up: to keep the dough down, I used a small rolling pin. I smushed the dough down, and then dusted it with flour, then rolled it flat and smooth Too chocolatey: I would suggest, if you are not an avid chocolate fan, to cut the chocolate chips down to 1- 1.5 cups of chips, and to use milk chocolate, as semisweet is more... chocolatey... I have read of using white chocolate, but have not tried it yet Good Luck!

AMAZING recipe!!! It has a little bit of what EVERYONE likes! Made these for a house warming dessert and they were a HUGE hit! I would recommend using a baking dish as the carmel spilled over the cookie sheet in my oven and made quite a mess!!! Still, bars came out great!

This recipe is very easy to make whih makes it a winner in my book. My product did not look exactly like the picture because the sugar cookie sort of swallowed the toppings but it was absolutely delicious none the less. I do agree with other reviewers on using less chocolate chips. I love chocolate but it was way too much and the chocolate taste over powered the caramel and pecans. But overall rating: Scrumptious!
