yummy!!! and so easy , i also recommend 13x9 pan and a lighter alterative which is cutting your topping in half. keep the cookie crust the same just half of everything else.cook time 24 min

This cookie looks great but there's too much fat and butter in it. Does anyone know how to make as taseful a cookie without all of those undesirable components? I want a tasty cookie that's also not going to make me bigger, or increase my chance of having a heart attack. We need smarter recipes not fatter recipes, please!

Everyone loved it when I made it. And for us it did not have at all too much chocolate as I added a bit more sugar cookie dough than called for. Thanks a bunch for the recipe and I will be making it again and again and again.

I love chocolate... This however was very chocolatey, I would not use as many chocolate chips. The cookie didn't cook all the way and didnt seem to be thick enough as is, I would probably double the cookie roll and maybe cook it 1/2 way through then add everything ontop..

I use a jelly roll pan instead of 13 x 9 cake pan and it keeps the crust from swallowing the toppings as one reviewer described it. I also cut back on both chocolate and nuts. HUGE hit every time I make them.

These bars were a hit at work, however I would make a few changes. I'm a chocoholic, but even I thought they were too chocolatey. When I make them again, I will try doubling the sugar cookie dough for a thicker crust and baking it for a few minutes before adding the caramel mixture. Also I will use less chocolate chips. I didn't have the issue with the dough rising up to the top, but I firmly packed the dough on the bottom and pressed the first batch of choc. chips and pecans into the dough about half way. I think with a little tweaking this recipe can be 5 stars.

I would recommend baking the cookie bottom first.
