Oh my goodness!! These little guys are SO easy and fun to make. You'll want to make sure that you don't over cook the cookies. I cooked mine for the 8 min instead of the full 11 min and it worked out perfectly to put the licorice. Oh and speaking of the licorice... I found that the Twizzlers brand worked out well because you can separate the ropes easily. I will be making another batch or two before Christmas for all my nieces and nephews.

These were adorable! Didn't have any almonds so I used the peanuts as ears. And I didn't use the red hots for eyes, just used red gel dots. It worked fine. the only complication I had was making sure they came out of the oven before they got too hard. Still needed them sorta soft to poke the ears in. Very cute.
