Nutty Cheddar Crackers

Ingredients

cups all-purpose flour

cup butter or margarine

cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)

cup sunflower nuts
1/4
teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

to 8 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets with shortening or cooking spray. Place flour in medium bowl. With pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • 2 Stir in cheese, sunflower nuts, Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with water, 1 tablespoon at a time, while tossing and mixing lightly with fork until dough is just moist enough to form a ball when lightly pressed together.
  • 3 On lightly floured work surface, roll dough with rolling pin to 1/8-inch thickness. With lightly floured 2-inch Christmas cookie cutters, cut dough into desired shapes; place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.
  • 4 Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Serve warm or cool.
