I'm just curious as to why the picture it looks like the cream cheese filling is on top of the pecan filling, but in the recipe you put the cream cheese down first. i want to cook this for my (soon to be) mother in law, as she loves pecan pie, but i don't want to mess this up...suggestions??

I think this pie needs to be refrig. quite awhile before cutting into. The bottom was very runny and it ruined the presentation although the pie is delicious. After refrig. overnight, it cut beautifully.

We love this pie! My son ate this at a restaurant on a business trip and asked for the recipe. The cook told him it was from the bake off , I found the recipe and it is our family favorite. Truly yummy !

i also recomment using a deep dish pie crust if you use the frozen pie crust, Also in my opinion the recipe makes too much cream cheese mixture, the part should be cut in half. I did not have enough room the pour all the corn syrup mixture over the pie. It was too much cream cheese mixture for me. I think I will try to make adjustments next time

Everyone loves this recipe. I think the cream cheese layer makes it less rich than regular pecan pie which is way too sweet for my taste- I mean it's great but can only eat a little bit

If you use the frozen pillsbury pie crust make sure to get the deep pie crust.

Very good.
Cream cheese layer makes it extra rich and sweet, but I like that it makes it different than the usual pecan pie.

I love to bake pecan pies and I wanted to try something new! I am so glad that I did. This is a wonderful pie. It is easy to make and tastes delicious!!! The only thing I do recommend is that the recipe should specify that deep dish is warranted. I will make this one again.

I had never made a pecan pie before, much less one with cream cheese in the recipe. Thought it was going to be difficult. BUT to my surprise, it was quite simple.............and in the end.....very delicious :p Everyone that I shared with loved it. I plan to make it again, however before I do that, my next project is the golden pecan pie. Wish me luck it looks delicious and can't wait to taste. My boyfriend and I share that in common.........we both love pecan pie.
