teaspoon onion powder

cup beer or ginger ale

tablespoons prepared yellow mustard

tablespoon canola or soybean oil

tablespoon soy sauce

boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick (1 1/2 lb)

  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In small bowl, mix brown sugar and onion powder. Stir in beer, mustard, oil and soy sauce until well blended.
  • 2 When grill is heated, place pork chops on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill over medium coals; cover grill. Cook 10 to 15 minutes, turning and brushing once or twice with mustard mixture, until pork is slightly pink in center and thermometer inserted in center of pork reads 160°F.

The kids love this recipe. Low fat too. Originally it was supposed to have 2 left over for another meal. (Stir Fry) I've been making it since it came out in the 1997 July/August Edition Fast , Healthy magazine. It's better than the one star, Just couldn't change it.
