Mom´s Light Meat Loaf

Made with a mixture of ground beef and ground turkey, this juicy loaf pairs savory flavor with a lean profile.

Ingredients

lb. extra-lean ground beef

lb. ground turkey breast

cup shredded carrots

cup Progresso™ Plain Bread Crumbs
1/4
cup finely chopped onion

teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2
teaspoon garlic powder
1
(8-oz.) can tomato sauce
2
eggs, beaten
1/2
cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9x5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except barbecue sauce; mix well. Press mixture in pan. Brush barbecue sauce over top.
  • 2 Bake at 350°F. for 60 to 70 minutes or until thoroughly cooked in center and thermometer inserted into center registers 160°F. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
