sdsnaggle - you can do this - just make them up ahead of time and then use a hobo pie iron/sandwich maker over the grill or campfire to cook them

Use a dumpling press. These are use for pot stickers, empanadas, dumplings, etc and it works great!!!

I made these to bring to a picnic...Very tasty and were a big hit! However, I had a difficult time getting the top crust to seal with the bottom and ended up losing some filling because of this. Next time, I will try only putting the graham cracker crumbs on the top and bottoms, not the inside of the crust and possibly try using a little more butter to seal the edges.

I haven't tried this recipe yet, but am anxious to try them. In response to sdsnaggle, have you tried making these up to the last step, wrap in tin foil & when your ready take them out of the tin foil & put them on the grill? I have done this before with other things like this. Hope you find a way to make it work. If I happen to find something s'morey you can make on a camping trip I'll try to get it to you. Good luck.

I liked this recipe. I think though that when I make it again (and I will) that I will leave out the cream cheese and sugar in the filling mixture. Overall though it was good! My husband liked it too!

I've been looking for a new s'more type thing to do camping. When I saw the picture I got excited but then read the instructions. these are very yummy made them at home just because they sounded so good. not sure how to translate it for camping yet, so I am still on the look out for something as easy as a s'more to make for camping
