Ingredients

Steps

  • 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with foil or cooking parchment paper.
  • 2
Remove pie crust from pouch; unroll on lightly floured work surface. Using 2-inch star-shaped cookie cutter, cut out 24 stars. (Reroll scraps and cut additional stars, if desired.) Lightly brush stars with egg.
  • 3
Divide cheese and ham evenly among 12 of the stars. Place second star on top of each; gently press edges to seal. Place on cookie sheet. Lightly brush tops with egg.
  • 4
Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Any type of soft cheese, such as blue cheese, cream cheese or Brie, can be used instead of goat cheese.
  • tip 2
Use leftover ham, ham steak or any cooked ham for this recipe. Turkey or chicken can be substituted.
