Expert Tips

Up the heat by adding a splash of hot pepper sauce to the eggs and substituting shredded pepper Jack cheese for the Cheddar.

Substitute Canadian bacon or ham for the bacon for a different breakfast treat.

I have tried this recipe many times and I love it. It is very easy to make and indeed better than Micky D,s. Just think, years ago, if you had a biscuit with eggs and bacon/sausage or anything on a biscuit you would have been snooted, you would have been an outcast because you were eating a poor mans meal. It is interesting how things have changed.

On the weekend I use the can biscuits,Grands Southern Style. After baking the biscuits I place a slice of cheese and one piece of bacon. You could add egg if you like. I then wrap them in aluminum foil, place in a container and seal. Then on week days before work morning you can remove the aluminum foil and microwave for about 30 seconds. They are much cheaper than going through the drive through and you have a breakfast that is filling.

review continued: ....coated with cooking spray or butter, add abt. 1/4 tsp. water, mix briefly or just break yolk. Cover container with plastic wrap, poke hole in top, microwave until almost set…about 1 min., add cheese, etc. Slip out and onto baked biscuit. Easy and good! You can make these as healthy or decadent as you like!
