I just got done making these little yum yums and WOW! I added some all spice and some nutmeg in with the cinnamon and sugar for an extra kick and the extra spices really came through nicely. I think the "prep" time should probably read 30 min instead of 10 to 15, unless you have an apple/corer/peeler. The only "trouble" I had was trying to get the pie crust to stick together while cooking. Everything turned out fine, but I had to take them out of the oven and pinch 'em back together. No biggie. I have no idea how anyone could get theirs to look like the recipe picture, but then again, I'm no M

Can you use pineapples instead of apples for this recipe? I am having a luau this weekend and would love to use this for my dessert.

Fabulous recipe!!! I decided to try using canned peaches and dark cherries that I had in the freezer. After simmering on the stove with a lil' sugar and cornstarch to thicken the juices I added them and dessert was freakin' fabulous! Served with hot coffee & Almond Joy creamer this was a wonderful way to end an enjoyable family meal in the frosty air of Boise, Idaho!

These are great. I make them every year for my sister and extended family. We serve them with vanilla ice cream. Very easy to make, yet looks difficult.

I made this today and my family loves it. It is also a fun recipe that you can invole your kids with. when you make this if you add just a pinch of nutmeg sprinkled on top just before you put it in the oven with a tiny slice of butter it keeps it moist inside plus the nutmeg adds a great flavor. You can also serve it with some whip cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.....

Picked some fresh apples and was looking for recipes. This one was super easy and so good. I didn't have a round cutter so I just balled up the dough, cut into fours and rolled with a rolling pin. Still very easy. Will try with other fruits.
