Mexican Ham and Cheese Subs

A fresh-baked Pillsbury® crusty French Loaf holds sub sandwich fillings bursting with Mexican flavors.

Ingredients

can (11 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crusty French loaf

cup refried beans (black or pinto)

oz thinly sliced baked ham
4
oz sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese

tomato slices

romaine lettuce leaves

white onion slices

can (7 oz) pickled sliced jalapeño peppers, if desired
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F.
  • 2 Bake loaf as directed on can; cool 5 minutes. Carefully cut in half lengthwise.
  • 3 Spread 1/2 cup refried beans on cut side of each half. Place remaining ingredients on bottom half. Top with other half to make sandwich. To serve, cut into fourths.
