Martini Cocktails

Chilling the cocktail glasses and straining out ice from the martini mixture cools the drink without diluting it. Nevertheless, this is a drink meant to be sipped slowly, no matter how cold!

pimiento-stuffed green olives or 4 lemon twists

  • 1 Chill four 3-oz. stemmed glasses in freezer.
  • 2 To serve, place olive in each chilled glass. Place ice cubes in martini shaker or pitcher. Add gin and vermouth; shake or stir until blended. Pour into glasses, straining out ice.
