Ingredients

2: granny smith apples, peeled, and sectioned in to 8 pieces

2: cans crescent rolls

1 1/2: sticks of real butter

1: cup sugar

1 1/2: tsp cinnamon (any other spice you would like)

1: can Mountain Dew

Directions

1 Spray a 9x13 pan. Wrap each slice in a crescent roll. Place wrapped slices in baking dish.
2 Melt the butter, add sugar and stir. Add cinnamon and spices to mixture and pour over the apples.
3 Pour 1 can of Mountain Dew over the dumplings.
4 Bake at 350 45 minutes. Enjoy!!

Wow! I am a huge Mountain Dew fan and it was fun to see somebody figured out how to use it so cleverly. I made these dumplings by halving the recipe. I also used brown sugar and chop walnuts. They were delicious.

Just had these tonight. Couldn't belive they were made with crecsent roll, and soda pop. They were wonderful and the other 12 people thought so too.

Grandsons said I outdid myself! Way too much sugar & butter for the adults, and I cut both almost in half.

I had gotten this recipe from someone else but it's the same. I have to say that they do sound strange but they are so good. Need to remember to get apples so we can make them this weekend.
