I changed this recipe a little; instead of regular pie filling, I found sugar-free apple pie filling and used it, and also omitted the cranberries (I don't care for them so just left them out). It tasted great and reduced the total calories by about 100. The biscuits tasted just like a flaky pie crust. After baking, I topped it with light whipped topping and drizzled with caramel ice cream sauce. Very tasty and will make again and again for a quick dessert during the week.

I love the recipe and I changed it a little and used Pillsbury pie crust and rolled it and cut 6 round circles and put them in a cupcake pan and then scooped Apples in then I used oatmeal cookie mix chopped it with cold butter then crumbled that on it baked it at 400. Put french vanilla Icegream it was good!

This was a great idea but I made my own version of it. I used a package of refrigerated cinnamon rolls rolled them out large enough to fit a greased muffin pan up on all sides. I went apple picking so I had lots of fresh apples on hand. Diced small apple pieces, sautéed with a tbl of butter, sugar & cinnamon to taste. Thickened it with 1/2 of apple juice and a tbl of corn starch. Made the oatmeal topping then drizzled the glaze on top that came with the cinnamon rolls. 400* 15 - 20 min times could vary. yummmmy. My way you can control the sweetness than using canned pie filling.

My Dad loves mini-pecan pies and I thought I'd try something new since he likes Apples and he LOVED these! Great recipe- very easy and I don't really think you can go wrong on this one.

I printed this recipe and put it in my recipe book. I intend to make them at the beginning of the week. I have bridge at the Faculty Club and I will bring them as the dessert of the night. I will have to make two batches as we have 6 or 7 seven tables. I just know everyone will love them as they sound sooooo good. I usually bring dessert every other week and they all look forward as to what I will bring. Thanks so much for the recipes you send me as I like to make something different every time. They all say I''m a good baker- -I hope so- -I enjoy it very much and get a lot of enjoyment seeing people eat my desserts and telling me how good they are. Gloria
