Savor each forkful of this smooth, light-yet-rich dessert. Lemon juice and lemon peel provide a bright bit of tartness to balance the sweet filling.

Huge hit! Will definitely make again. Made with graham cracker crust and used fresh lemons.

Excellent! I made this for a contest and got 1st place in the dessert category! I made a bottom crust only in an 8x8 pan, cut in squares, platted it and garnished with slices almonds, raspberries and blueberries.

This is a hit!!! A few extra steps, but the result is worth it. I made it for a lunch with a friend that just had surgery and she wanted the recipe right now!! VERY GOOD!

Served this pie for Easter and it was gone in minutes. The lemon layer was just the right contrast to the sweet bottom layer - I used fresh lemons and the flavor was awesome.

Be sure to prepare ingredients before starting....it made the entire process flow smoothly. Important to keep stirring the lemon mixture while cooking - ALSO - boiled it for an additional minute to get a thick and smooth texture.

Allow extra time….this pie has many steps….and beware of the top layer…unspreadable

I was very disappointed with this recipe. We made it for Easter dinner… The second layer of lemon mix was unspreadable….it was in clumps as we tried to spread it over the cream cheese layer. I double checked each step and time for setting and had followed the recipe exactly..so not sure what went wrong…was also not wowed by the flavor…it was just eh…all right…the kids ate it all though…lol…so I guess they were not complaining it didn't have two pretty layers etc. :)

every thing tasted fabulous during the process of putting it together the day before Easter, but the lemon layer did not set up at all. Total soupy mess. Also, I had to add sugar to the whipping cream to get it to form peaks. Everyone at Easter dinner was polite and said it tasted really good. Had the lemon layer set up, I think that would have offset the very richness of the truffle layer. (I thought maybe I over boiled the cornstarch mixture, so based on the review below, I will add an extra spoonful of cornstarch next time.)

Tasted fabulous, although for some reason the lemon layer didn't entirely gel properly; as far as I can tell we followed the instructions exactly. Next time I might try adding a tiny bit more cornstarch or maybe boiling the cornstarch mixture a tad longer.
