Would a canned lemon pie filling work as a short cut on this recipe?
It sounds great am going to try it tomorrow.
will have to experiment with canned lemon pie filling. Also, once prepared is this pie freezable for later consumption???

I made this recipe for a friendship gathering this weekend. It was a success. The perfect amount of lemon flavor atop a wonderful truffle center. Very yummy!! This one is a keeper.

I've made this pie several times and it tastes great, but each time I've made it turns out a little runny. Something needs to be adjusted--cooking time? Cornstarch?

I must have an oversized pie plate because for the pie
to look as shown in the photo it needs at least 1-1/2 if
not double the filling that is recommended in the recipe.

I have made this recipe for a couple of years and it is probably in my top 5 desserts of all time! It is soooooo yummy!!! It will be a hit with family, friends or any special occasion.

Love, love, love this pie!!!! I have been making this pie for years and it never fails me. It may take time, but is so worth the effort. Like one reader said, read the recipe and have everything ready. You will NOT be dissapointed!

Delicious, everyone loved this pie! It is time consuming to make but worth the effort. I followed directions exactly as written and had no problems EXCEPT there is not enough filling for a 9" pie. Next time I would use an 8" pie pan which would make a higher pie (like the picture) and fill the crust (which is why I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5). Also be aware that it is very sweet, not at all tart like a plain lemon pie. I topped it with real whipped cream and almonds - much better than the "other" topping!

Wonderful! Somewhat labor intense but worth the rave reviews from family. I will definitely make again. I added a little powder sugar to the whipping cream.
