Lemon Danish Cups for Two

Super easy way to make a warm Danish right in the comfort of your own home.

Ingredients

tablespoons cream cheese (from 8-oz tub)

tablespoons powdered sugar
1
teaspoon grated lemon peel
1
teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2
Pillsbury™ frozen buttermilk or southern style biscuits (from 25-oz bag)

teaspoons sliced almonds

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 2 (10-oz) custard cups with cooking spray.
  • 2 In small bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in lemon peel and lemon juice; set aside.
  • 3 Place frozen biscuits on microwavable plate. Microwave uncovered on High 15 seconds; turn over, and microwave about 10 seconds longer or until biscuits are softened. Cut each biscuit into 6 wedges; divide evenly between cups. Spoon half of cream cheese mixture on top of each biscuit cup. Sprinkle with almonds. Place on cookie sheet with sides.
  • 4 Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Expert Tips

Biscuits need to be thawed in the microwave; they cannot be cut into pieces when frozen.
