Katie´s Pretzel Wreaths

Dipped pretzels are laced with red in a treat almost too pretty to eat.

I made these with a class of 12 preschoolers. I modified the recipe and they put down the first ring of pretzels and used a bottle of white chocolate to make a few rings around the middle to hold the pretzels together and then put on the next ring and did the same thing. Then they decorated them with red and green m&ms stuck into the white chocolate. Then we tied the licorice string into a bow and glued it on with chocolate because it was too difficult to lace it. They came out wonderful with the few modifications. This is a a recipe that will definitely be used again next year.

Made these for my daughter's Christmas party at daycare. Super easy, but a little time consuming. I used milk chocolate for the bottom layer and white chocolate for the top layer just to mix it up a little bit. Before letting the chocolate set, I sprinkled the top layer with green sugar crystals. I also couldn't find the 24 inch licorice, so instead tied bows at the top with the size I could find. Turned out perfect! These will be added to my "make every year" list!

This is a great treat. I took to our Christmas Party and everyone loved them. The only problem I had, I couldn't find 24" string licorice. Where is this available? I sprinkled the white chocolate with red sugar and tied the bow with 12" licorice. The wreaths still looked adorable but would have liked to use the long licorice.

I made these for Christmas last year, I packaged them up to give as little goodies to my family and friends. I added some mini green and red M&M's to mine, I placed them on the white chocolate after I put the pretzels together.

This is a wonderful treat that EVERYONE loved! Not too sweet, which seems to be a common complaint with alot of treats. It is unique, pretty and creative! What a wonderful idea!!
