I just made these. I would make sliders the next time, not easy to handle w/skewer, especially after adding mustard and/or ketchup. I did like the bread and the taste of the "burger" but I will definately do sliders the next time and bypass the skewers and round meatballs.

They are titled meatballs but they are actually round slider hamburgers.

Sounded good until I read pickles. Seriously? Pickles and meatballs? No thanks.

I made these for our National Night Out block party -- what a huge, huge hit! They were easy to put together (took us about 40 minutes), and it was fun for my daughter to help assemble them. The plate of 24 appetizers was empty in seconds; wish I had made more! I give this five stars.

curious- how do you eat the "sandwich'? since more than likely at a party you would be standing

Too time-consuming to make for a large crowd.

Good idea but I actually cut the meatballs in half so it was easier to eat. I also used southwest sauce instead of ketchup and omitted avocado for the pickle.
