Italian Toast Toppers

Ground turkey combined with four Italian ingredients and you have a flavorful dinner ready in just 15 minutes!

Ingredients

lb lean ground turkey

jar (28 oz) tomato pasta sauce

slices Italian bread

teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese

cup shredded mozzarella cheese (2 oz)
  • 1 Set oven control to broil. In 8-inch skillet, cook ground turkey over medium heat, stirring frequently, until no longer pink; drain. Stir in pasta sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated.
  • 2 Meanwhile, place slices of bread on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat 30 to 60 seconds or until lightly toasted.
  • 3 Turn bread slices over; top each with 1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese. Broil 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  • 4 Remove from broiler. Spoon turkey mixture evenly onto bread. Top each with mozzarella cheese. Return to broiler; broil 30 to 60 seconds longer or until cheese is melted.
