I microwaved the frozen meatballs according to package direction and then cooked them in the toaster oven for 5 minutes to get degrease them. I toasted the buns and added the sauce but used dill pickles instead of peppers and swiss cheese. My family ate the subs better that way.

Not the greatest. Maybe with a few changes in recipe it would be better.

I don't understand what doesn't add up.
There is typically 30-32 frozen meatballs
in a 16 oz. package. 2 x 30 = 60 or 2 x 32 = 64.

Something doesn't add up here. This recipe calls for 60 meatballs, which would probably be more than 2 16-ounce packages. Anyway, it is a favorite for Superbowl Parties at our house. I dump frozen meatballs into the slow cooker...no need to thaw.
