Italian Ground Beef Braids

A quick snip of the kitchen shears is all it takes to make a pretty design on top of this meat-filled roll made with refrigerated crescent roll dough.

Overall flavor was excellent! I didn't use a real garlicky sauce, so mine came out ok. Braiding it was a bit tedious, but it did look pretty when it came out. I think next time, I might add some sausage or pepperoni. Will make again.

The sweetness of the dough and the garlic-saltiness of the the filling did not go well together. I will not make this again even though the kids said it was a keeper. Besides the dough does not do well as a left over, it gets soggy and if you reheat in in the oven it will burn before it gets to a firm enough crust.

What an easy and yummy recipe! I didn't have crescent roll so used pizza dough instead, worked great!(Let the dough warm and it is easier to braid)

My husband said this was "very tasty" which, from him, is a pretty big compliment. My only critique would be that the directions are confusing. I just greased one cookie sheet and arranged the dough in one long line so that the skinny part of the triangles wrapped around the top just like in the picture. It was a great, quick meal, perfect with a little tossed salad.
