i made this without the peanuts and carrots and the first time because i didn't have either handy but it turned out so good i have left them out everytime i make it. I agree with fellow posters and have seasoned the chicken with some garlic salt before hand. It has a great taste and is a hit with my husband!

This recipe is great, though I have modified it a bit after trying it the first time. I thought the chicken was rather bland, so now I sprinkle it chicken/poultry seasoning and cook it on a grill pan. I have also substituted center cut pork chops and it was wonderful! This recipe makes a deliscious salad as well. I just serve the meat, carrots, warm sauce, and nuts over fresh spinach. My husband loves it!

My husband would have preferred that I had left the peanuts out.
