Honey Avocado Grilled Chicken Drummies

Blogger Carrian Cheney of Sweet Basil shares a quick and easy recipe for grilled chicken drummies with an avocado-honey sauce that will knock your socks off. Serve them alongside fluffy biscuits dripping with butter.

to 12 chicken drumsticks
Olive oil
Salt and pepper


cup honey
cup lime juice
teaspoons chili powder
Grated peel of 1 lime (about 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large dish, place chicken. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper; toss to evenly coat.
  • 2 Place chicken on grill over medium-high heat. Cover grill; cook 4 to 6 minutes on each side or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest part is cut to bone (at least 165°F).
  • 3 Meanwhile, in blender, combine Sauce ingredients. Cover; blend until smooth. Set aside.
  • 4 When chicken is done, remove from grill to serving dish. Pour Sauce over chicken; toss gently to coat.
