Excellent recipe! I cut the strawberries into quarters as well. The berries I purchased were much too large to leave whole. I also layered the blueberries in with the strawberries v. adding them at the end.

I made this Sat. to take to some friends, it was GREAT! The only thing I would do different is to put the strawberries in a bowl and toss with glaze, then put in crust. It seems to coat the berries instead of going to the bottom. I also prefer to quarter the berries, easier to cut.I then put some whole berries on top. I cut the sugar to 3/4 cup and used s/f jello. Very good, and will make again for July 4th.

In addition to using Splenda when making this pie, I also use sugar free strawberry jello. This helps cut many sugary calories as well as using Splenda. Every bit of calorie savings means larger portion or second helpings to enjoy! YUM!

I USE SPLENDA IN ALL MY RECIPES . EVERY THING I MAKE COMES OUT REALLY GOOD . YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE RECIPE. I ALSO USE THE SPLENDA BLEND WHICH IS ALSO HELPFUL. ENJOY MOST DESSERTS.

I'm going to try making this with Splenda on Sunday. I'll keep you posted. If anyone has made it with Splenda, I'd love to hear from you.

I totally agree with Tracy-just because this pie has a lot of fruit and berries which are the best fruit for you doesn't mean that this is a healthy one. Look at all that sugar, and other ingredients that are in this pie. I'll pass on this one.

Whomever stated this pie is healthy needs to look again-75grams of carbs, 430 calories and 13 grams of fat per serving. I hate to rain on everyone's parade because that pie looks heavenly but ouch, that's not healthy.
