Ingredients

cup diced cooked ham (about 1/4 lb)

cup finely chopped celery
1/4
cup chopped green bell pepper

tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2
cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise or salad dressing

drops red pepper sauce
4
slices whole wheat bread, toasted
4
slices (3/4 oz each) fat-free American cheese, each cut into 4 triangles

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In small bowl, mix ham, celery, bell pepper, onion, mayonnaise and red pepper sauce. Spread evenly on toasted bread; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  2. 2 Bake 5 minutes. Slice cheese into triangles. Place 2 cheese triangles on each slice of bread; bake 5 minutes longer. Wrap securely with foil; take with you for an on-the-go dinner.
