Made this recipe for a party, then I made it for a second party with a slight change. I roasted the asparagus on a cookie sheet with garlic salt added, then wrapped it in cream cheese and ham. They loved it and I should have doubled the recipe'. I will do both ways for the next party.

forgot to tell you we spread cream cheese on the ham then roll up the pickled asparagus, yum!

My family has made these as appetizers for years, they're the hit of the party but these are even better if you used pickled asparagus. We pick and pickle our own but you can buy it at Costco now.

The proper way to do this appetizer is to clean the asparagus, wrap in a slice of prosciutto, place on a sheet of tin foil and cook on the barbeque. The asparagus still has a little snap and much of the flavour from the prosciutto seeps into the asparagus.

These are absolutely delightful. Try dipping in a cheese sauce or making them into a meal by not cutting them in half and pouring cheese sauce over and heating until warm. Delicious!!!!
