My family really enjoyed this. I did tweak it a bit, instead of boxed potatoes I mashed up some russets, and for the veggies I used broccoli and corn. I have made this twice already and will make again.

I am surprised at all the great reviews. I thought this was not very good. It had flavor, just not the kind my family liked. I will not be making this again.

Great quick recipe. Next time I would only use a 14 oz can of tomatoes. Would be enough and less wasteful. I did use mashed potatoes from the refrig section of the grocery since I am not a fan of instant. Will be making this one again.

Next time would use just a 14 oz can of diced tomatoes instead of the full 2 cups. Would be plenty in the stew and would be less wasteful.

I normally don't write a review if I used different ingredients than what is called for (only because I don't have them on hand). In this case I thought I could pull this off using my own homemade beef gravy, fresh carrots, canned string beans, frozen corn and no marjarom. Long story short...this is a great recipe. If mine came out good, I can only imagine how good the recipe is using all the ingredients listed. I will try again when everything is on hand. Best of all, my husband liked it!

We absolutely love this recipe, quick but hearty and filling. If I am in a real hurry I use the directions and adjust them for my favorite instant mashed potatoes, which really makes them much more tasty, but if I have the time I make my own mashed potatoes and it is very good either way. This coming from someone that wouldn't even try instant potatoes a few years back. Really great on those chilly days, the meal just warms your through.

This recipe is awesome!! I didn't have a jar of gravy but used two packets of brown gravy mixed and used real potatoes and it was great! Easy to do! I highly recommend it! Something different with ground beef besides tacos or burgers!

I made this recipe with ground venison and added more veggies. It was really good. My husband took some with his lunch minus the potatoes.

This was good, but I added a bit more vegetables, I used 1-1/2 cups, and since I didn't have dried marjoram leaves, I used ground marjoram, but only added 1/8 teaspoon. I then cooked the ground beef stew over medium-low heat, (covered)for about 15 minutes, to make sure the vegetables were cooked, but not overcooked. Also, I didn't use instant boxed potatoes for this recipe. Instead, I used leftover garlic mashed potatoes, which were made with whole garlic cloves, sour cream, cream cheese, and a stick of butter, plus topped with a few pats of butter and a sprinkling of paprika, and then I had baked the potatoes in a 325 degree oven for 20 minutes. This was a nice quick meal, and I look forward to making it again.
