I have made something close to this before and they are very good! I agree with pack47- moderation is also key!

If you don't want to eat it don't.You can eat like this on occasion. I think it sounds delicious and I'm going to make it. My family loves Mexican food.

I think it is yummy without the taco beef. Just cheese, salsa and veggies. Use low-fat cheese if desired.

I think leaving out the cheese or reducing the amount of cheese will help shed the calories.

I wonder how many calories would be reduced if using lean ground turkey and taco seasoning (in those packets) and also eliminating the cheese? Those pre-packaged taco meat containers contain WAY too many calories!

I agree with the other reviews, with 70% of the population in the US overweight do we really need to encourage 1000 cal/meal. This is way too many calories for a meal - come on Pillsbury modify this recipe and make it healthier.

Like Deanil 217 said, the calories are realy high, so I made them with low fat cheeses and found the lower calorie chips too. They were very good. Not sure how many calories it brought them down to, but everyone loved them. I served them with low-fat sour cream too. I would make them again!

I'm willing to try it because it sounds delish! BUT.....1000 calories per serving??? Pulease! It needs a major makeover before it hits MY plate!

We made these at our last big backyard cookout with lots of family & friends. We wanted to try something new and these were awesome! Everybody raved about them and we'll definitely be using this recipe again.
