  • 1 Heat grill. In small bowl, combine all ingredients except bread; mix well.
  • 2 When ready to grill, place bread slices on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until bread is golden brown, turning once. Spread butter mixture on warm bread slices.

Expert Tips

Sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil and herbs are very flavorful. Look for them in the produce department or with the other tomato products in the grocery store.

Italian bread can be used in place of the sourdough bread in this recipe.

Combine the butter mixture up to one day in advance; cover and refrigerate it. Slightly soften the flavored butter at room temperature before spreading it on the bread.
