Grilled Seasoned Turkey Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

lb. lean ground turkey
1/4
cup Progresso™ Italian Style Bread Crumbs

tablespoons ketchup
1
teaspoon garlic-pepper blend
2
teaspoons finely chopped onion
4
(3/4-oz.) slices American cheese
4
burger buns, split

Directions

  1. 1 Heat grill. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except cheese and buns; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties, 4 inches in diameter.
  2. 2 When ready to grill, carefully oil grill rack. Place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 10 to 14 minutes or until patties are thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center, turning once.
  3. 3 During last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking time, top each patty with cheese slice; cook until melted. If desired, also add buns to grill, cut sides down; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  4. 4 Serve patties in buns. If desired, top patties with lettuce, tomato and pickle slices.
