Turkey masquerades as a tasty cheeseburger!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup Progresso™ Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic-pepper blend
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
  • 4 (3/4-oz.) slices American cheese
  • 4 burger buns, split

Steps

    Heat grill. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except cheese and buns; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties, 4 inches in diameter.

    When ready to grill, carefully oil grill rack. Place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 10 to 14 minutes or until patties are thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center, turning once.

    During last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking time, top each patty with cheese slice; cook until melted. If desired, also add buns to grill, cut sides down; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.

    Serve patties in buns. If desired, top patties with lettuce, tomato and pickle slices.
