Grilled Mini Burger Kabobs

Ingredients

lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef

medium onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)

tablespoons Progresso™ plain bread crumbs

tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1
clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper
1
cup tomato sauce

Directions

  1. 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except tomato sauce. Shape mixture into 12 (2-inch) meatballs, then flatten slightly to 3/4-inch-thick patties. On each of 4 (9-inch) metal skewers, thread 3 patties lengthwise, leaving 1-inch space between each.
  2. 2 Carefully brush grill rack with oil. Place kabobs on grill over medium-high heat. Cover grill; cook about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on outside and no longer pink in center.
  3. 3 In 1-quart saucepan, heat tomato sauce over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until simmering. Serve over kabobs.
