Homemade honey mustard sauce adds an intriguing new flavor to grilled chicken. Add dressing to packaged salad greens and dinner is ready in no time.

Ingredients

Sauce

tablespoons honey

tablespoons spicy mustard

teaspoon grated lemon peel

teaspoon lemon juice

teaspoon soy sauce

teaspoon garlic salt

Salad

boneless skinless chicken breast halves

teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper

(10-oz.) pkg. mixed salad greens
1/2
cup purchased fat-free honey Dijon salad dressing

Steps

  • 1 Heat grill. In small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients; blend well. Set aside.
  • 2 When ready to grill, sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt and pepper. Place chicken on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Brush chicken with sauce; cook 4 to 6 minutes.
  • 3 Turn chicken; brush generously with remaining sauce. Cook an additional 4 to 6 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear.
  • 4 In large bowl, combine salad greens and salad dressing; toss to mix. Cut chicken into strips or bite-sized pieces. Add chicken to salad; if desired, toss.
