Grilled Garlic, Chive and Cheese Bread

Blend, toast, grill--it's as easy as that with this delicious way to dress up a loaf with prepared cheese spread.

Ingredients

container (8 oz) garden vegetable cream cheese spread

tablespoons chopped fresh chives
1
small garlic clove, minced

loaf (16 oz) French bread, split lengthwise
  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In small bowl, mix cream cheese spread, chives and garlic.
  • 2 When grill is heated, place bread halves, cut side down, on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill over medium coals. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • 3 Turn bread halves; spread cream cheese mixture on toasted sides of bread. Cook cheese side up 3 to 4 minutes longer or until thoroughly heated.
