Expert Tips

To broil cake, place cake halves, cut side up, on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Watch the angel food cake carefully when you grill or broil it. The cake browns very quickly, and the surface can burn just a few seconds after it has browned.

Dress up this dessert by topping each serving with a dollop of whipped cream and a mint leaf.

Spoon this refreshing blend of fruit over ice cream or frozen yogurt.
