I add 8 oz of Velvetta to the soup and green beans.. it's a wonderful side dish that my whole family loves.

I make this casserole with a few changes and it always turns out awesome. Starting with the green beans you can use the can french style or 1 quart of home canned which is what I use. Also instead of the onions I use a thin layer of shredded mild cheddar cheese topping it with a layer of Chow Mein Noodles. Everyone loves my casserole made my way.

I use Campbell's Golden Mushroon Soup. A deeper color. A richer taste, if you can believe that!

I add fresh parmesan, black pepper, mix some of the onions and just a touch of bacon drippings in the body of the casserole and a hint of nutmeg. I also change up the soup to keep it fresh.
