Very easy to make but it is so high in fat and calories for such a small piece that I wouldn't make this unless I had a large crowd. A small piece does go a long way and I would agree you can easily get more than 12 servings from this pie. I also think it tastes a lot like baklava.

Question.....recipe says to make pie crust as directed on box in sprayed pie pan....do you have to bake the bottom crust before adding the walnut mixture...and then put top crust on and bake again....a little confusing for an amateur

It was better than baklava.Excellent!I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe. I served it with french vanilla ice cream but,my mom loves it with whip cream. We would make this again and again. Yum!!!!!

Awesome pie! All the flavor of baklava without the fuss! A big hit with the family. Very rich; you could probably get 16 servings out of it. The topping tastes great on the pie, but is not necessary. Serve with hot, strong coffee. Mmmmmm!

I have been a baklava junkie for better than 20 years now. My mother and I used to make it together all the time because it tastes SO good. But it's also a pain in the tush to make the traditional way (seriously, have you ever tried taking a whole box of phyllo dough and brushed butter on it one sheet at a time?). This recipe preserves the taste and texture of baklava and slashes the time required drastically.
A little goes a long way with this sweet treat and it's a real favorite for my family.

This is so good --- it's probably my favorite Bake-Off pie of all time.

DELICIOUS!!! Have made it twice and got raves galore! Had to give the recipe to 5 different people. It's very rich, no need for the whipped cream. Cut it in small slices, one pie can serve 12 easily.

This pie is purely delicious and delightful to anyone whose never tried this new rendition of the classic Greek desert, Baklava!
