This was also my first attempt at doing pecan pie. One of my patients at the research clinic where I work specifically asked me to make him one. He absolutely loved it and always asks when the next one is coming.

This is the best recipe for pecan pie. It was my first attempt at pecan pies & everyone loved it. My grandma (who is a pro at pecan pies) even said she may want to use this recipe. I am now making them for every family function.

I had the same problem with it cracking I agree I think it overcooked but I followed the directions. I would advise others to keep an eye on it the last 10 minutes. Still came out delicious though.

I am so proud of my pie. This was the first time to make a pecan pie and my husband loved it. It was so easy and I didn't even make a mess. Thank you Pillsbury!!

you probably baked it too long. You know pecan pienis suppose to be slightly "wiggly" when removed from the oven.

This recipe is great!!!!!!!I will make it again.
My only problem was that the chopped pecan cracked across the top of the pie. It did not hurt the delicious taste, but it was not a pretty pie.
Can someone tell me what would cause this?

I am not an expert cook. In fact my husband does all the cooking. Well I made this pecan pie and it was such a hit. I'm so glad we have this site. Love you all

This is a wonderful recipe. Yum! I used honey instead of corn syrup, Splenda blend brown sugar, and whole wheat flour. Turned out great. Picky husband even loved it and made 0 suggestions. Which is very unusual. This is a keeper and going in my family cookbook. YUM YUM YUM!!!!
